Meditations on Moving

I hate to move - Yes I do! I hate to move – Wouldn’t you? Pack those boxes Full of junk; Oops that won’t fit In the trunk! Rent a truck and Fill that too. Couches, beds, and Freezer foods Ride and ride O’er bumpy mile; Hope they don’t Upset the piles! Unload, unpack, Fun, fun, fun! Don’t be fooled, Work’s just begun! Straighten, sort, and Find a place For all the stuff You HAD to take! This is why I hate it so! Wouldn’t you? I’d like to know!

All Moved!

Just wanted to write a quick update. We are officially not residents of Lake Placid, NY any more. Saturday, we made the final trip rented a U-haul truck and, with the help of our families, finished moving our things. Because of the technicalities of renting, we don't get to stay in the new place until this weekend, but our stuff is all there (except some things that have been stored and still need moved.) and we have been working to put things away and set stuff up when we get a little extra time. I get a little break from school soon, so we'll try to get updates/pictures up a little more frequently.

Yet another drawing of the same thing only this one is a Furniture Plan. I'm not thrilled with all the furniture placement really and I was told what furniture I had to use or I would have chosen a little differently, but. . . The first two images go together. The second two is a different assignment. I had to look through magazines and fine a picture of either a chair or a couch and then draw it in plan view (from directly above). It was kind of hard to guess at the dimensions.

A Special Thanks. . .

To all of those who sent Birthday wishes via USPS, e-mail, F acebook , phone, or any other way! I thoroughly enjoyed reading all messages and was touched at the number of people who thought of me on my special day. Thanks!! Leah

Happy Birthday to. . .

ME!! Yep! As of somewhere around 8:30 this morning I'm the big 21 and I'm here to tell you it's not all it's cracked up to be. . . :-) I've already been asked if I feel older. The sad truth is that I've felt old-er since November 21 (refer to older posts for details)! The good news is that since my first meeting with the good Dr. of Chiropractic a few weeks ago, I am feeling pretty well back to my normal young self! Now I know you are all wondering what the big plans are. Well as a matter of fact, not much of anything. Last night, SUNY Potsdam hosted the Army Field Band and Soldier's Chorus from Washington D.C. for a great concert. We (Jon and I, My parents, Bud, Joy and a friend) all went to that and had a good time (unfortunately the only proof I have is a ticket stub and a program - yeah I am so angry with myself for forgetting my camera yet again!). Today, I'm just enjoying doing whatever I feel like doing (some necessary things, some lazy nonsense)....
