Finished By Friday

Joy's recital was this past Sunday afternoon. We went (of course) but only got two lousy pictures! For some reason the church they have the recital at is TERRIBLE for taking pictures! They turn all yellow and we didn't have time to fool with camera settings to get better ones, so I tried to do a little editing, but even that really didn't help. Anyway. . . Here is what we got. And yes that is some random person's hand on the right. They had their arm draped over the end of the seat. :-)

Just a quick update. Last Thursday and Friday Jon had to be away with my dad for work. Friday, I worked all day then my mom, Joy and myself drove down to meet them. We spent the night then headed out Saturday for PA where my cousin Charity was getting married. Then we were off to VA to visit my sister who just moved there. We got a hotel a couple hours from the wedding and finished the trip to VA Sunday. We got to spend Sunday evening, Monday, and Tuesday morning with Rach and John. Becky and Kaelyn arrived Monday afternoon so we got to spend a little time with them too! We headed home around noon Tuesday and overnighted back where the guys had left the work "truck". Wednesday morning my mom, Joy and myself headed the rest of the way home leaving the guys for a couple days again to finish the job. Anyway, I didn't take many pictures, but here are just a couple - one from the wedding and a couple of Kaelyn at the mall in VA Monday evening. P.S. Rach, I'm looking forw...

I am NOT a fan of smilebox or anything of the sort. See I was going through family blogs and trying to steal pictures to print, but when pictures are in smilebox slide shows. . . I can't steal them! I'm also not a huge fan of using anything of the sort because there are some things I can't control (cropping, etc.) So there! Really I just need new pictures of my nieces and nephews. Otherwise I really don't care what people use for their pictures. :-)

I know, it's a little sad when I start making monthly update posts, but I haven't gotten any good pictures lately and I hate making little random posts about what we've been up to without pictures! The sad truth is that I STILL don't have any fun pictures, but here's a little run down or our recent activities other than the everyday work and church. A few weekends ago, Mom and Dad Catton came to visit. They got here Sat. afternoon, stayed overnight, went to church with us Sunday morning, had dinner and spent most of the afternoon with us then headed home. A couple weekends after that, we spent a sunny Sat. afternoon/evening with family (Cattons) in Plattsburgh. This past weekend, Jon spent Fri. and Sat. working with his dad redoing their roof. I had to work all day Fri. so I drove down Fri. evening after work. We got to spend some time with family from other parts of the state too!
