Finished By Friday

Here they are guys.  The three of you waiting to see them.  Honestly, I only got a handful of others, so this is what you get... also, sorry, but what you see is what you get as far as pictures of decorations and food. :-/ And for anybody who might be lurking around not knowing what;s up with us lately...  Jon just turned 30 last week, so we (our dear friends and I) decided to throw a surprise party for him.  We pulled it off without him even suspecting.  Everything went really well and we had a good turn out.  He was happy and I was happy. :-) SURPRISE!! Quick family shot first thing... I think others got better ones. Mama made really cool camo/marbled cupcakes and decorated them as one big cake. it made serving up dessert easier! This summer we have been working on tidying up the outside of the house and making it our own. Earlier in the spring we fixed up the flowerbed (is it still a flowerbed if there are technically no flowers??). I'm not sure I actually have a before picture other than what you can see of the jungle behind us in the pictures from the day we closed on the house last spring but the "monster hostas" weren't full sized yet. So ANYway, apparently hostas are VERY resilient and they spread or at least get really big in the right conditions... lucky us, our conditions seemed to be just right for massive growth (yes that phrase is dripping with sarcasm). So besides cutting out all the tree starts and pulling tall grass and trimming the two evergreens, I dug out at least four hostas and part of a couple more and discovered that we actually had that black edging stuff in a nice curvy shape (I'm not kidding. The hostas were so big like a solid hedge instead of individual plants. ...

I'm cheating. While I didn't actually complete well... anything this week, I found this old post that blogger decided to refuse and decided to try to post it anyway. So, I'm jazzed... First of all happy Friday! It's been a crazy couple of weeks. This will be the fourth weekend in a row that we have had obligations... I know, some of you thrive on activity but we tend to be home bodies and let's face it, our house needs more of our attention inside and out but we haven't had much time since the nicer weather got here. Anyway, back to being jazzed... I actually, finally, really, finished a project (by Friday) this week and you KNOW I'm excited when I actually take the time to blog about it! So here it is... i don't actually have any in depth amazing pics to share and the ones I do have were taken in the evening so the wall color/contrast is off but... be grateful for what you get. :-) I actually saw this post at viewalongtheway... which to be honest I...
