We're Here

Greetings to one and all. Just wanted to let you know that Leah and I are finally in Lake Placid. We had to make three trips, two were done with the help of my parents van (Thank you Dad!) and the last one was made with my little tiny Sunfire . This trip was one that I want to paint a mental picture for you. Every one has seen a Pontiac Sunfire coupe at some time in their life, (whether you know it or not) but just in case you haven't, here is a picture of my car just after I bought it. At first Leah and I had tried to pack everything. You must understand that our last apartment was quite small. It had three rooms, living-room/kitchen, bedroom and bathroom. I tell you that to tell you this, Leah and I had these four big wooden blocks that I had used during my time as a student at Potsdam campus. Any college student knows that there is priceless space under a bed if you jack it up higher. We used the blocks at the apartment to raise our bed so we could put stuff under it. These bl...

Greetings to one and all! Sorry that we haven't been up to date very much on this, but with the Christmas season being here, and the family, friends, food, fun, food, Christmas day, food and all the other things going on, it's been a bit crazy and hard to find time to write another post. But, we trust every one had a wonderful Christmas and we trust you'll all have a Happy New Year! But I digress. Leah and I would like to let everyone know that we are moving. It's not too terribly far from where we are living now, it's about an hour and half away. We are moving from Massena , New York to Lake Placid, New York. Leah was offered a job working for my previous employer Dave Foster and it comes with a substantial increase in regards to income. She will be doing some cleaning of the very expensive houses in between rentals. This business has many many houses that need to be cleaned, and Leah will be able to work a regular week doing so. As for me, well... at this point in...

More Winter Fun

Ol' Man Winter

Well, I've been informed that our blog needs updated, so. . . here I am. For those of you who don't live in snowy Northern NY, ( clearing of the throat! I won't mention any names) let me remind you that it's winter time AND let me remind you to bring your hat and gloves with you on Christmas vacation! Some of these pictures were taken the day after Thanksgiving (and a small ice storm). The others are very recent! (last night!) IT'S THE MOST WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEAR!! Catching snowflakes on our tongues! Not my idea, but it made for a fun picture! You know the drill - stand in place while he sets the delay on the camera and runs to get situated before it goes off! Well. . . When he bumps the camera, there isn't enough time to get it aimed right again and get in the picture - thus, we have me laughing at him scurrying to fix things while the camera goes off and gets a picture of me and the blank spot beside me! Forget the mistletoe!

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Just wanted to share a few photos with you from our time over at Beka and Bill's place, and the new little addition (bundle-o-joy). We had a good time, and the food was excellent! Played some Domino's, did a puzzle, I played on my PC a bit... and then of course, we let the tryptophan (an essential amino acid, (C8H6N)CH2CH(NH2)COOH, colorless, crystalline, and aromatic, released from proteins by tryptic digestion and a precursor of serotonin) do its deed and put us all in a food coma for a little bit too. It was a good afternoon, and just wanted to share some pictures with you. This is a really cool painting that Beka and Bill had on their wall that I just wanted to share. I really enjoy it. This is a panoramic shot of just some random happenings. This is dad being sabotaged. This is the festive "puzzling" that went on in the kitchen area. Domino's. This is me practicing my "depth of field" again. This is me practicing my "depth of field" again...

Ahh... Vacation

So, just wanted to share something with you. Leah and I went on vacation today, officially! As you can see, our minds were on vacation too. So you are wondering, what possessed them to play with Lego's? Well I had some students that were doing a science fair project, and they were building it with Lego's. More than once I found myself playing with them and constructing things. So when I got home to Mom and Dad's I got the urge and broke out the old sets of Lego's. I remember saying to Leah, "See... I'm on vacation, my brain goes to seed, and I end up playing with Lego's!" I got into the airline business and started building jets, my airline was Catton - ental (get it? Continental... Catton -en...) Leah started building this strange vehicle that looked like it belonged to the old Twilight Zone Series. At this time her business was called "Odd-Ball Construction" Then she became a little more advanced and started with architecture. She built th...
