Our "Sweet little apartment" is relocating and getting bigger!!
Jon and I are moving back to Massena. Jon has been working with Daddy for three weeks now. We've been commuting a week at a time which is really getting to be a pain. We go home on Friday evening after work, spend Saturday packing, and return to Massena Sunday afternoon/evening. So far we've brought up one little car load and stored it in the church basement. We have found a really nice apartment here in town (signed a year's lease), and are hoping Bill can find someone to rent the one in Lake Placid sooner than later so we can get out of there and not have to be paying rent when we're not even there! If he can't find someone, we are obligated to give him 30 days notice.
The apartment here is BEAUTIFUL!! It has two bedrooms and two full bathrooms, kitchen, open living/dining room, and utility room with our own washer dryer hook-ups! It's on the third floor of a nice secure building with four apartments on each floor. Neighbors and previous tenants did very well on heating cost because of having two floors of heat below them. The whole complex is smoke-free and very well maintained! My new kitchen includes my first full sized stove (only a couple months old!), dish washer, garbage disposal, full sized fridge (of course), separated sink (with sprayer), and probably half again the cupboard space! Both bathrooms are pretty well the same size, but both are bigger than our old one! Master bedroom is on the corner with windows on two sides and a large walk-in closet. Second bedroom (which will be used for a computer/guest room) has large sliding door closet. There is also a large linen/storage closet at the end of the hall.
The only bad thing is that we can't move in until the end of March/beginning of April because we can't be paying both rents at the same time.
