The Day the BUG Went to Church!

This one is a little old, but I couldn't figure out how to get the picture off my phone for a while.

So. . .

"I was in my Sunday seat sitting there and being sweet...when I saw him crawling up [the book rack]!"

It wasn't the actual wiggle worm, but but you would have thought so for as disturbed as I got! After squirming around and trying to keep an eye on him so he didn't get too near me, I finally got up the courage to swat him to the floor with the chorus book. Which of course required reaching dangerously near him to get the book! After I got him on the floor, I squished him, but it was one of those bugs where you could FEEL it pop under your foot! EWWWW!!!!

He was a big ugly guy with big antennae and everything!

I know it's not a very good picture, but...

THAT is the very reason I let big ugly bugs live if I don't have bug spray handy. canNOT deal with the squash factor!! :-) My kids have come to LOVE the 'Wiggle Worm' by the way, that is the most fun you can imagine. We make all kinds of fun motions with it.

I'm as bad as Rach but maybe a little worse. If Kevin is anywhere within "yelling vicinity" he gets to grab the bug spray or he comes along as I'm hollering and spraying and then he removes the dead body. :)
You beat me to updating your background for the closest holiday - but I LOVE this background (hadn't seen it yet myself)!

My attention on the sermon would have been long gone...! My focus would have been to hold my legs/feet up, as my muscles became weak.. then Id still feel like there was another BUG coming from behind.. crawling on me.

Here they are guys.  The three of you waiting to see them.  Honestly, I only got a handful of others, so this is what you get... also, sorry, but what you see is what you get as far as pictures of decorations and food. :-/ And for anybody who might be lurking around not knowing what;s up with us lately...  Jon just turned 30 last week, so we (our dear friends and I) decided to throw a surprise party for him.  We pulled it off without him even suspecting.  Everything went really well and we had a good turn out.  He was happy and I was happy. :-) SURPRISE!! Quick family shot first thing... I think others got better ones. Mama made really cool camo/marbled cupcakes and decorated them as one big cake. it made serving up dessert easier! Madelyn's room progress

So I may have already showed you the flower frames, but the other two are brand new. We FINALLY hung the two shelves Saturday. Today, I took the small shelf down and did the green trim and "is for" then put it back up. Im mostly pleased with the outcome even if the green paint is slightly messy and i'll be fiddling with it for weeks to come but... what can you do? It's FINALLY done. Oh, we also hung roller blinds in the girls' rooms finally Saturday too. Their windows have been bare for months because it's incredibly hard to find cordless blinds in the wider size we needed without sacrificing your first born to pay for them. Now I only lack curtains (and rods) and touching up some paint on her dresser and Madelyn's room will be done (for now... we still havent done the toddler bed switch.) P.S. the pictures didnt get the wall color right. It's a pale yellow not off white.

OK, I got this magazine in the mail a couple days ago, but just took the time to actually see what it was last night. They advertise "making luxury affordable" - which of course means that they still charge you outrageous prices, they just let you pay it in smaller installments. This, to me, is more trouble than it's worth anyway even if you don't think about the fact that they (like everyone else in America) are encouraging you to spend more money than you have. The thing that really caught my attention, however, was not the flat screen TVs and computers and living room furniture and mattresses and jewelry. . . Like I said, I looked at this thing last night. It wasn't until I picked it up to throw it away a few minutes ago though, that I realized some of the things I had seen listed! Would you believe they have purses and sunglasses for sale on payment plans?!? This to me is just wrong! I've thought this whole craze was nuts before, but the idea of making a $...
